JOINING THE SCOTTISH RITE

Becoming a Member

Membership in the Valley of Rochester is open to all Master Masons who belong to a lodge chartered or recognized by the Grand Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons of the State of New York. The brother must submit a petition for membership to the Valley office.

After the petition is received, the brother must be present for the following degrees:
  • Lodge of Perfection - 4°, one other Lodge of Perfection degree and the 14°
  • Council of Prices of Jerusalem - 15° or 16°
  • Chapter of Rose Croix - 18°
  • Consistory - One Consistory Degree plus the 31° and 32°

Petitions, along with the initiation fee of $100, are to be sent to the Valley office:
